On Bootstrapping From Guy Kawasaki
I am not sure how I missed it the other day, but in follow up to my mentioning Seth Godin’s Free eBook, a reader wrote in (Thanks Josh!) and pointed out a post from the other great one, Guy Kawasaki, on the Fine Art of Bootstrapping.
Guy says:
“I could build a case that too much money is worse than too little for most organizations—not that I wouldn’t like to run a Super Bowl commercial someday. Until that day comes, the key to success is bootstrapping.”
Like Guy, I believe that having too much money can make you slow and dimwitted. In another post, Guy shows how he started the website Truemors for about $12,000. Impressive. (I think I could have cut about $5,000 off of that, but hey, I am not a best selling author, either.)
Here is an article on bootstrapping. I would love to get your thoughts on your experience with Bootstrapping.
